Welcome, but never use AI text or try to pass off AI sites like Chat GPT as sources
[edit source]Hello, DZQ0318! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.
Chat GPT is not an acceptable source, and text from AI cannot be used. You need to confirm this information with reliable, non-AI sources and edit the text accordingly into your own words. Don't try to do this again. Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:25, 28 October 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for the guidance. I understand that I need to verify information using reliable, non-AI sources and write entries in my own words. I will review the relevant guidelines and make sure future edits are properly sourced and verified. DZQ0318 (talk) 10:31, 28 October 2026 (UTC)

- I believe you're continuing to use raw AI text, down to not even deleting default address info and making vague claims like "the parade route may change". Has it ever changed? Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:46, 28 October 2026 (UTC)

- Dear editors and Professor,
- Hello everyone,
- I would like to apologize for my previous editing behavior on Wikivoyage.
- I admit that when writing and editing articles, I relied excessively on AI-generated content, did not adequately verify all information, and did not carefully check the details. For example, the address information and the statement about possible changes to parade routes both reflect that I did not treat the accuracy of the content with sufficient rigor.
- I understand that what Wikivoyage needs is information verified through reliable sources that is genuinely helpful to travelers, not AI-generated text that has not been fully validated. My approach did not meet this standard and created additional review and correction work for other editors. I am deeply sorry for this.
- I will carefully read the relevant editing guidelines and re-examine the content I previously added, verifying sources one by one, and deleting or correcting anything that cannot be confirmed. Going forward, I will use reliable non-AI sources as the basis for facts, write in my own words, and take responsibility for every edit I make.
- I also understand everyone's emphasis on content quality and community norms. Thank you all for pointing out my problems. I will learn from this lesson seriously and work hard to improve my editing practices.
- I apologize again to everyone. DZQ0318 (talk) 03:08, 29 October 2026 (UTC)

As your assignment page says: "Common error to avoid: you should add an address (street, building number, etc.) to your listing but do not repeat the city name. For example, if your listing is in Ansan, the address does not need to contain the city name." That also means you do not include the province and country name.
All of the listings in Xiaogan are going to be in Xiaogan, Hubei, China, so we do not repeat that information in addresses. Please make this correction to the article. Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 11:33, 28 October 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing this out. I understand that the addresses should include the specific street and building details without repeating the city, province, or country. I will review and correct the listings in the Xiaogan article accordingly. DZQ0318 (talk) 03:11, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
